same as LS1edit.... except this also has a very very very nice scan tool.... with LS1edit, you'll have to buy a scantool... (and autotap sucks)

What's the deal....you purchase the software for one particular year of vehicle? ie. a 99 LS1 f-body....does this mean I cannot use it on a 98 or an 02 f-body or y-body?

yea.

you buy it for the model + year.. for example, mine works with 02 fbodies and 99 fbodies..

LS1 edit only works on ONE vin number.. lol. unless you buy a several thousand dollar "shop version"....

HPtuners works on as many of that model as you want.. for example, ive done my 2002, my friends 02s and 99s, and ive made over $1000 doing various little things for people in this part of the state.... as long as they have a 99 or 02 fbody, it works.

if its a diffrent year/model, i can only read... no editing....

the scanner works on all ODB-II GMs.
