LQ4 swap question..would it work
Hey guys..long time lurker first time poster here.
I have searched and read most of the posts concering swapping an ls1 and 4th gen dash into a thirdgen. I've been running this scenario in my head and wanted to know what you guys think.

Can I take a truck engine, LQ4 etc., truck engine harness and pcm, 4th gen dash and console and make it work?
I know I could get an adapter harness, motor mounts etc from many of the board sponsors, but if I wanted to make it pretty much junkyard plug and play can i install the engine with proper mounts and accessories...attach truck engine harness and pcm to 4th gen dash/interior harness and make it work?
I know that 4th gen ls1 engine/dash swaps are fairly easy because of the number of people on here who have done it say it's pretty much plug and play. Are there any major differences in the truck and 4th gen f-body harnesses?
Just curious about your opinions...thanks in advance.

the fuel injector harness clips are different from car to truck.
intake and fuel rails are different as well.
you might be better off using the f body wiring harness and injector setup, as there are many suppliers making harnesses to work with stock gauges and such.
good luck.
