v6 to LS1 swap
Hello thirdgen owners,
I own a 1987 camaro v6 and a 5-speed.
i am planning on doing an LS1 swap, would it be better for me to buy a parts car like an iroc and take the mounts and everything from there and then do the ls1 swap, or is there special things made that us 3rdgen owners can use to make this swap as easy as possible.
please help me out i love the LS1 just i dont know what i should do.
thank you.

Just about everything needed to do a SBC -> LS1 swap is the same as a V6 -> V8 swap, so you probably won't gain any advantage from purchasing a V8 donor car. You still need an LS1 transmission, LS1 exhuast (manifolds or headers), customer fuel setup, wiring, computer, etc....
