LT1 starts but dies after 3 seconds, seems like injectors are cutting out???
I'm almost there, I can see the end in sight. I got my LT1 to fire. I was only getting 4V to the fuel pump, so I ran a wire straight from the pump wire(grey in C100 bulkhead connector) to the battery so when you touch it to the battery the pump goes on.
Anyway, it fires but dies after a few seconds. It seems like the VATS fuel cutout, BUT.....the pump is hardwired to the battery and doesnt stop pumping. I also have a VATS bypass module wired in. It seems like the ignition is cutting out instead of the fuel. How is this possible? Any suggestions? Thanks.

I checked with a spare spark plug and a fuel pressure guage. I am not loosing fuel pressure so the pumps not cutting out. I put a spark plug on a wire and watched the spark, and it doesnt seem like the ignition is not cutting out. that leaves the injectors themselves. What would cause the injectors to cut out after a few seconds? Thanks.

No, I don't have scanning or flashing capability. Another forum member offered to flash it for me, and I'll take him up on it, but I'd like to get the thing running tonight....
I thought the VATS cut off the fuel pump, not the injectors? And my bypass module should have taken care of it. It's wired into power, ground, and pin 25 on the red plug on the '94 PCM(DK BLU wire).

One other thing I noticed. I have a wire going directly from the starter solinoid that I'm touching to the battery to get it to crank. When I do that and it starts up and dies, if i quickly touch that wire back to the battery terminal the starter kicks on, it grinds horribly....BUT the motor runs for a few more seconds. How the heck does the PCM know I touched that wire to the battery? The only place it goes is to the starter
Also, if it makes any difference, the Tach doesnt work either yet...

I got it. you were right and it was the VATS. Turns out my VATS bypass module was wired to the wrong blue wire
I followed the VATS wire out of the PCM to make sure it was the right one and rewired it. Now that that's out of the way, I can move on to getting the starter to work. Thanks for the point in the right direction Texas
