its 2 generations newer with sequential fuel injection so probably.. 6 speeds can get upper 30s on the highway

You will see probably 26-28mpg, upper 30's highly doubtful even with a 6-speed. I was getting 25 out of my LT1 with 6-speed and 3.42 gears.

I would assume he means platinum plugs?

and sorry, but I've gotta doubt 40mpg unless he was running 65 on the highyway the entire tank. and even then, I can't see it getting 40. 35 maybe.

its a little company his dad runs and sells the stuff.. its a canadian product .. platinum vapor injection.. it runs some little drip thing into the intake..

he filled it up before we went to a car show.. drove there.. drove back.. (500kms) ~320 miles.. filled up with like 30L (~8 galls) which would be 40mpg.. and he did it solid all the time when he went home, pretty picky about his cars, it also got way better mileage then his grand am or cavalier

he does drive like a total bitch at 60mph tho.. 6 speed and 3.42s rev at nothing

the longer you drive them on the highway the better it gets too it seems on the longer trips my friends have taken to bowlin green they say the mileage gets progressively better, smart little peices of aluminum
