i recently won what looks like a Spohn tranny crossmember on ebay.they claimed that this crossmember is used in a LS1 4L60E swap into a 3rd gen f-body.my question is how much of a difference is there between the 700R4 and 4L60E crossmember mounting points?i know i'll have to do some fabrication just want to get an ideal as to what i'm gonna need to do to make it work with a 700R4.

AFAIK there are no differences. You can use the 700R4 crossmember for the 4L60E. It's the T56 that requires a different crossmember. Spohn doesn't make a crossmember for the 4L60, only the T56

Depends which 4L60E you have. The ones used with the LS1 have a removable bellhousing and different rear mounting holes.
