I am fixing to tackle my low buck build, I picked up a complete 5.3 pullout for dirt cheap. I was wondering if anyone has swapped in a 4.8,5.3,6.0 and used the truck intake and accesories. I know the intake is a good deal taller, but from the pics I have seen the ls1 intake is well under the hood. I have hp tuners for a 2002 truck to cover tuning, and just sold my 91 rx-7 I swapped a ls1/t56 to so I understand the wiring and fuel needs. I am really just mainly wondering about the physical fitment, & plumbing. Any help or pics is appreciated.

Best thing, chuck the truck intake and put an LS1 intake on it, everything else is the same as a standard LS1 swap, you just have to put an F-body oil pan on the car. And if you can get your hands on the f-body accessory brackets, I believe they are different. Can't remember, a buddy of mine is putting a 6.0 in a '95 and I he's using the F-body brackets.

yeah, I do believe you have have to change all the accesory brackets, accessories, as well as water pump, to swap it over to the car manifold. I was really trying to get away from having to do all that as I would probably have as much tied up in swapping it over as I do the motor, and I have all the truck stuff right now. I was going to just chop the bottom of the pan flush like an f-body pan and weld a plate over it due to an f-body pan being around 175 bucks or so.
