94 OR 97 LT1

I found a guy who will sell me a 97 LT1 with everything for $1800 has 81k on it but it had a auto I wanted a T56. I asked him if he would sell it without tranny he said no. He also said he had a 94 with everything and no tranny for sale but a T56 alone will run $1200-1500 so witch will be the better motor the 97 or the 94 I might have to go auto for awile Thanks

Well, considering I paid $2200 for a '95 LT1 and T56, that's a tad high

I paid 1800 for a 97 lt and a t-56 with every thing included, fans rad, harness ect. I agree to high. I looked at the yards and they were wanting 1100 for a lt1 out of a cop car, how do you think it was driven. Just look around and dont buy the first one you find, I almost did and am glad i waited.

Yea? I thought the 97 would be a good deal. But I've looked everwhere a place I called (seen ad on here) wanted $3200 for a 95 and T56 just seem like they are getting harder and harder to find.
