97 LT1 to 700r4

I found that part of the wiring harness is supposed to plug into the top of the transmission. However the transmission doesn't have a place to plug it in. because the 97 block used the 4l60e trans, and I have the 700r4. what needs to be done?

been covered many many times, a search will turn up tons or info. Basically, you need a '93 TB or adapt your linkage for the TV cable on teh 700R-4 and tune the computer to ignore the trans.

OK, I did get all those parts. I was just confused on hooking the computer to the trans. so I just need to ignore that, then reporgram the computer to ignore it too. Thats what I needed. Thanks!

You don't even have to reprogram the computer to make it functional but I think you might throw a code for tcc. I assume you are using a 4l60e VSS and 4l60e reluctor, TCI lockup kit. You just need to connect the VSS pigtail connector to the VSS and wire/install the lockup kit.
