added a new cap and rotor, car runs really bad?
i added a new cap and rotor, the car starts then dies, i thot it was a fuel problem so i started up it reved it, runs sounds smooth, let off and sounds like its got a lopy cam and the car shakes and is jsut a hair away from dieing, the rpms go up and down, i also smelled a richer smell, i shut it off, checked all the wires, ect ect, im guessing the wires got crossed? im sure i marked them right, but anyone else had this problem? or chould help me out?

What style opti do you have? The firing order is easy enough to check. Is the opti installed correctly? It is easy to cross the wires.
its a 94 z28, the opti is installed correctly, you cant advice or retared the timeing on a opti right? just by the pcm? im guessing one of the wires are crossed, the pass side is alot harder to check do to the pullys,
do you think that i might have pluged 2 in the wrong ones to get it to do what its doing sounding lopy and shaking ?

Crossed wires can cause low power, backfiring, lopey idle and in general poor performance. You could have drossed a couple or maybe one or more are simply not fully seated in the cap. Before I pulled anything off, I would check all the wires including the coil wire.
