LTX and LSXPutting LT1s, LS1s, and their variants into Third Gens is becoming more popular. This board is for those who are doing and have done the swaps so they can discuss all of their technical aspects including repairs, swap info, and performance upgrades.
I have an 88 Iroc Z that I put a Ls1 in from a 2001 T/A and was wondering what lines you guys are using for the powersteering lines????? Like what part numbers or what they came off of.Also some pics would be nice of them. I found this one but can't get any info on them but these look good.
Stock LS1 power steering lines work fine That looks like them in that picture. You have to tweak the metal portion of the lines a bit...but they will work. Fittings are the same and all... Im pretty sure thats what everyone is using. Thats what I used...it was nice not having to piece lines together to hook it up. Just watch the pressure line, it gets close to the pulley. Thats where the tweaking comes in.

in that pic you you posted, thoes ARE fbody lines..
see that line that goes by the pulley? thats the tight spot.
now, whoever did that pic, was stupid and ghettoed zip ties for clearance.
all you have to do is tweak the hardline with your hand, and you have plenty of clearance, without spaceage co-polymer variable circumference fasteners.

oh, and for the low pressure return line... use the stock thirdgen box side, and then just power steering hose between that and the bung on the bottom of they reservoir... that way, you only have one big metal line sticking up rather then two.

I used the stock 4thgen LS1 high pressure hose, I had to bend it slightly. For the low pressure hose I used a V6 4thgen hose and cut it off shorter for a better fit/more direct route.
FYI - the stock hose will require major rebending to fit (not just tweaking) and the routing of the steering hose in this picture won't work. I installed a new stock hose same way as this picture and then it was in the way when I installed the serpentine belt. I was able to make the hose work with some more bending. Here's some pictures.
New PS hose installed like picture above with serpentine belt on:

I assume those are aftermarket cooler/lines b/c my OEM sits up so much higher off the pump above the framerail. I like the look of these and how you have them laid out. I know this was over 3 years ago but do you rememebr the cooler line parts?
the steel cooler lines (the two on the right side of the picture) is the factory setup. i took them from a 1984 TA L69 car. not sure if these lines were specific to that engine option.
