Won't idle, no power. ?
The car will not idle and anything over a crack of the throttle and it dies. Very odd. It happened very suddenly after I turned a corner onto a side street. Ran perfectly fine until then without a hickup or mystery sound. I've been rough on it lately, and it does have 220k miles on it.
I don't know much about the opti spark, but could this cause it? I thought that when the OPTI's went, they were done. I swapped the MAF sensor to my tahoe, but the tahoe didn't throw any codes so the MAF should be good. I'll check the MAP sensor tonight.
If I was a betting man, I'd say the cam gear jumped. Are the LT1's interference? Just oddness. I had to limp it home but it got there. Very sad. Any clues as to what it could be? I don't have the service light connected yet. Can you read the trouble codes on the 94 PCM like you can the 3rd gens?
Thanks

Re: Won't idle, no power. ?
1. Check to see if all of your vacuum lines are connected.
2. Make sure none of your plug wires are burned or cracked.
3. Check fuel pressure.
4. Hook up your service engine soon light and get a scan tool or laptop w/freescan or datamaster.
I don't know if you can read the trouble codes the same way or not.
5. Do a compression test.
Hopefully, its just a small problem like a burned wire or bad sensor like the TPS or IAC.
If the opti was bad you might not even be able to start it.
Hope this helps,
Jay
What do you mean are the LT1's interference?

Re: Won't idle, no power. ?
You nailed one of them. Fuel pressure.
12psi even when I dead head the pump. The pump whines like normal, just no pressure. Hmmm. Sounds like its in tank.
I took the tank apart, and found the culprit. Damn fuel line like I suspected. I replaced it with EFI fuel line. It runs, yeay!
