Anyone put an LS2 into a third gen? I kinda want to do it
I think i can get one + t56 from a 05 gto - Thoughts?
I guess it has electronic throttle controle, so i don't know how that will work...

Yea, I did the swap with an engine from an '06 GTO. All the tips and tricks you'll find for teh LS1 swap will work with the LS2. You don't have to use the electronic throttle either, just get an LS1 F-Body or '04 GTO ECM.
The kicker is that all the wires/harness' have to match, so you'll want a harness and coil packs for the cable/throttle cars. I had problems getting the car to run because of at least 3 versions GM made for coil packs, and they all have the same connectors. If you do it with used parts, then get the engine and tranny from one car, and the harness and coil packs from another.
