LT-1 Cooling fans
Hey guys,
I swapped in a 97 LT1 with a 97 computer. I am only using the one fan from the TBI engine which works fine. But I am throwing a code for fan #2 being open. I tried to get it deleted out but I guess they couldnt do it. Anyway anyone have any suggestions as to how to avoid this. Does anyone have any expreience?
I am also throwing a code for the skip shift. I assume that can be deleted out?

Those codes can be taken out, but you will have to find someone with HPTuners, or LT1Edit to remove those codes, and the programs are not cheap, last time I checked, HPTuners was around 200-300 and LT1Edit was around 400, and they are setup for one car only, which they would need to have the VIN number of the car the motor came out of.
Best option, convert to OBDI and ditch the OBDII
Then all you would need is Tunercat which is like $90 and $25 for the def file for the program and can be used on multiple OBDI F-body LT1 cars.
