LQ4/LQ9 question
Still doing my research on what LSx I'd like in my car. I've got a 1987 GTA with an ASCD RamAir 1 Hood (pretty much a huge cowl).
Seems everbody gets the LQ4 and puts the LS1 accessories, intake, wiring harness on it. Would the LQ4 with its own intake and accessories fit? Not like I don't have enough room with the hood being taller than stock. I've done my searching and haven't found any good answers.

Re: LQ4/LQ9 question
Seems the truck intake makes good power under 6k (which is where this engine will stay) according to this thread. Anybody know how it would fit? Any issues with the accessories?

Re: LQ4/LQ9 question
The intake will fit no problem. I suggest you register to ls1tech.com. Tons of knowledgeable people over there on the LSX family. Many threads over there on truck VS car intake. Truck is great for low end torque, but lacks flow around 5200. Seems like its suited for you.

Re: LQ4/LQ9 question
yeah I've been lurking over there for months. I know the truck accessories stick out an extra inch compared to f-body ones. Do we have that much room available in the bay or does it make it too tight?
