turbo lt1

anbody done a homebuiplt turbo set up on their lt1? i need some pics and advice on how to go about this.

I plan to. As far as exhaust, it would be just like any other turbocharged gen I sbc in a thirdgen.

If you want a lot of boost, you will need to lower the compression and get forged internals. Victory racing engines builds 355,383, and 396 LT1 crate motors.

I'm in debate on whether or not I should go with a remote turbo. I have hooker 2460 shortie headers which are a thicker gauge which would help a little bit in a remote turbo setup.

If you plan on having serious power, you need to run an automatic, the automatic needs to be built for a turbo setup, then you need a 12 bolt or 9" rear. It adds up quickly.
