throttle cable
going to install my ls1 in the iroc in the next week. what are you guys doing for throttle cables, or is it as simple as just getting one from a 4th gen and snapping it into place?

Re: throttle cable
Use the 4th gen cable....the hole in the firewall is a bit large though. You will have to get creative with a large thin flat washer and perhaps a ziptie wrapped up under the ears that snap it into place.

Re: throttle cable
Use a stock 99 throttle cable for a Non traction control car. The cable is different for traction control set ups. I highlighted the cable in pink and although you cant really see too well where it goes through the firewall i put two small dots to show where the rivets went through the washer into the firewall. Its the stock third gen hole its just too big for the clips on the LS1 cable to hold itself in there. I found a large plated washer that had a small hole so I file fit the shape out to retain the clips but as 406tpi said a zip tie would prolly do the trick just fine too.
Ignore the arrows all over this pic I already modified the file for another post and lost the original image
