LS1 auto in a thirdgen Formula worth anything?
LS1 auto in a thirdgen Formula worth anything?
Hey guys, been a while since I posted on the ol' thirdgen board. Anyhow, I have an LS1 auto laying here and a line on a pretty clean 89ish Formy. I am thinking about throwing it together if the market is there. The car is in okay shape, black or dark blue, engine is a stock 80k LS1 auto. Im wondering if I threw this together if it would go for around 6500 or so. I have done(and seen) some nice ones make it closer to ten, but this would be more of a budget daily driver....
I have been outta the thirdgen world for a while so I am outta the loop for who's has sold for what lately....
thoughts???

Be kinda iffy..Might be more problems then its worth. Just sale the engine. Or build your self a sweet toy.

I've got enough toys going for myself, I could do the LS1 swap for dirt cheap, Im just wondering if LS1 thirdgens are moving right now??

A turbocharged LSx??!? That sound you're hearing is me salivating...
As far as the swap into the Formula goes, I don't know if it would be worth it or not, you've got to figure that your time/labor is worth something too. Me, I'd flat-out love to have it, but I'm already elbow-deep into my GTA...

well I will have 3500 in the car/ motor and all parts, so Im looking for my labor to be worth the other 3000 which is good for me. The whole deal will take about 4 weeks to do, as long as the car will bring around 6500 it will be better for me $$$wise to sell it that way.
Otherwise anyone wanna running motor/ trans for $2k with no harness or ecm???
