gen3 powered gen3 'hawk

hey everyone, first of all i would like to apolgize for the length, and i cant believe no one took this username yet. i couldn't find a general thread and would like to introduce myself as a newbie and another third gen junkie. i first owned a second gen car that got sold and what later turned into a '90 gunmetal metallic WS6 TBI/A4 car. after countless 4th gen experiences, i thought i was sold. after the sale of the 3rd gen, i began to grow a passion for the car like never before as i had yearned for something to separate from the redundant 4th gen scene, but still wanted that unmatched, power-rich gen3 engnie. recently i purchased a '92 5.7 WS6 car, bright red, gray/black interior. soon the venerable TPI will make way to yet another of the U.S's LS1/M6 swapped gen3 chassis'. the largest effort behind the build is the SLP '92 firehawk. and with that theme throughout the build, tackiness will be non existent. OEM influences like real airboxes, not aluminum tubes with cone filters and some updates like 4th gen console and LS1 rear-end/e-brake swaps. but enough of my car-life history. im not here to bore you, but ask a real swap tech question-my donor car is an '01 trans am and i want to know the difficulty level (versus my other options) and snags with using the stock LS1 harness modified to fit my chassis. keep in mind that the SIR airbag will still be in use as well as pass-key so i need the harness to accomodate all of my needs. i know the avenues of aftermarketers like GMPP and speartec, and am considering the change to electric pedal. any real answers or guidance will be greatly appreciated. thanks
