a question about torque arm mount
I am in the proccess of putting a t56 in a 89 firebird that originally had a 700r4.My question is if the bolts from the 700 will work in the forth gen mount. The reason is that the only place I can find the torque arm mount is through the dealer and they want over a $100 for everything and they wont let me return the bolts if I don't need them. They say it is a discontinued part they have to special order.

Re: a question about torque arm mount
yeah the mounts are pretty similar from 82 to 02, the bolts can be bought anywhere but its the mount that the GM guys are talking about

Re: a question about torque arm mount
The T56 torque arm mount is two peices and still listed as availible from GM. 10252374 and 10252375. Put these numbers in on gmpartsdirect.com. They are not 100 dollars. The mount is the same for a T5 or T56. You could even get one from a 4th gen V6 car with a T5. I reused my factory T5 mount for a long time.
