i just got a good deal on a corvette lt1. its all there minus the water pump, opti spark and fuel injectors. i want to run a carb. i work at the chevy dealer, but dont know much about these. i have a edelbrock 2201 cam, will this work? i dont know if the cams are lt1 specific. but i see lt1 cams in l98's. im thinking about running a carb intake, and running hei. i dont know what im gonna do for accessories, hit a brotha with some knowledge.

As long as its a roller cam you should be able to run it. You would be better off calling Edelbrock to see if that cam would work well in that engine, whats the point if it runs like crap?

Re: 95 lt1 q's.

just finished a carbed lt1 swap. as far as the cam goes if your not running opti any roller cam will work. as for the water pump i decided on an electric one and put a double roller sbc timing chain in. the stock chains are kinda weak and i didnt wanna take any chances with my new stroker since thats what killed my last motor.
i used the stock accessory bracket and just deleted my a/c. with a corvett bracket your not supposed to have any clearance issues since it mounts everything on the driver side but to keep a/c you gotta get custom lines made. if ya need any more info hit me up.
