You can't touch LS1 cars here in WNY for under $5K.
I got a 2000 Chevy 2500 last year for $2K though. Was 2WD with an LQ4 and 4L80E. Truck had almost no rust. Kept the whole drivetrain and parted the rest of the truck out for about $3K. Gonna do a turbo build for my '84 TA.
