LS7 v Comp R lifters?
Any opinions on using the redesigned LS7 roller lifter ,supposed to good to 7K
( not the Caddy racing ones @ $230 ) v Comp "R" series ones?

There are some pretty strong opinions against the Comp "R" lifter if you go to camaroz28.com and look in the lt1tech section..
when rebuilding my engine I found that my comp "r"s had come apart on me like they had for so many others, I wouldn't use them again.
On my new setup I am running a stock roller lifter to 6800rpm with no troubles..

LS7's work great, but they have a shallow pushrod cup so you'll need to check your vavletrain geometry and get the correct pushrods.
