Wiring Confusion

Firts off what I got, I have a 92 firebird with TBI, swapping in a 92 LT1 corvette. I have the service manual for the corvette. I've been reading for about a week on how to do the wiring and now I'm completely confused. I have never been very adept at wiring and the only thing holding me back is the wiring. So the first question is do I only need to splice 7 wires to make the car run without the vats based on this page... http://www.camaroz28.com/forums/showthread.php?t=474185. Or are there more wires that need to be spliced to get the car to run and if so what are they? Also I would like to try and keep the vats but based on the threads I've read on this board Im confused on how to do so. Do I only need to splice one wire or several and if so do I need the vats module from the vette to make the vats work, some posters have said you don't need the modual while others have said you do. I cant get the module so if I do in fact need it I will be OK with deleting the vats out of the ECM. Also I'm using my original tranny, and I have questions on the TCC and VSS. Since the vette was a 92 will the VSS be fully compatible or will I need to 'adjust' it to work, I have a 4l60 from a 93 firebird that I can use for VSS parts. Also the vette TCC is a five pin/wire hook up and mine is only a 3 pin/wire, do I need to delete two or one wires and hook the others up to their corrisponding pins in my original conncetor, ie A to A, B to B, etc, or something else with the wires. If this post seems confusing welcome to my world.

There are several wires to be spliced at the bulkhead connecter, coolant temp, oil press, ect. also your relays need to be worked into the new engine, unless you pulled that stuff off the old car. I went with an aftermarket harness and all i had to splice inside the car was the yellow VSS wire under the pass side dash. as far as your TCC You need to look at pinouts to figure out what wire does what and go from there.
