94 LT1 into 92z

I have a 94 LT1 383 to put into my 92z. This car will be driven probably most weekends and when the weather is nice during the week when I have time.

What I want to know is what do I need or what should I keep as far as AIR, EGR, emissions, etc..? If it means running smoother, getting better mileage, etc.. then I will keep those things. I have so many hoses, pipes, fittings, etc and not sure where anything goes. I am using drawings I am finding from the boards and elsewhere to piece things together but I dont want to waste time with things I do not need to keep.

Can everyone help me on what I need/should keep for the swap? I am not familiar with all of these and would like to learn from everyone as I go through this. Also, I have no emissions regulations to follow (car will be registered in GA) and I will not be running A/C.

If there is more information you need to help me out please ask I will respond fairly quickly as I am looking to get things rolling.

Thanks!

As far as im concerned, you can delete EGR, AIR, and EVAP without suffering any noticeable mpg or driveability. As far as where things go there are plenty of pictures (search) of people who have done the swap that should help you out greatly with that, or you could post a picture of your own and point things out and im sure we could help that way also. You could also make a list of questionable things that you may not need and we could help that way also. Its a pretty straight forward swap, after you get the ball things will just seem to roll along.

Re: 94 LT1 into 92z

Here are some pics of everything I have spread out across my garage floor... If you guys could point things out I'd really appreciate it. I think I found out what some of these things are based on some diagrams but it would be nice to know for sure. I do have a lot of pics for reference as well.

Thanks again

Re: 94 LT1 into 92z

In the first pic, the top left is the air pump, and if you delete air you do not need that, all the little hoses to the right of that are for the EGR and EVAP systems, and also, if you delete those they can be deleted. The metal line is the steam pipe, you need that. right below that looks like your vent line fromt he throttle body to the valve cover, you can replace that with a vent, but i used it. to the left of the alternator are egr and air fittings. you can get block off plates for those if need be, above and to the left of the water pump is your brake booster vacumm line, you need that unless you have another one.

hope this helps
