LS* Accessory Drives?

I'm having difficulty finding specifics on what all accesory drives will work in a thirdgen with little to no modification when swapping an LS1/2/3/6/7/9, LM7, LQ4/9, etc. The only diffinitives I have found are that the truck accesories do not work, especially with an f-body/vette intake because of not only the hood clearance but interference issues with the TB and that the f-body accesories do work. Now since I have seen a few people using 'vette setups I'm going to presume those fit as well? What about others? GTO? CTSv? SSR? G8?

Speaking of which, is there any company out there making aftermarket brackets to mount the accesories? I perused March's site and found an entire kit that mounts everything including A/C way out and up. They have part numbers listed for the less inclusive kits but no photos/prices and I couldn't find them in a google search. I like mounting everything down low and out of sight; like on my gen I motor.

I work at a Chev dealer so getting part numbers for stock style stuff is easy.

Because of what I'm trying to accomplish, I'm going to be putting that to the test here shortly - More info as soon as I'm able to provide it.

Hmm, I remember hearing about a company called S&P, that had a bracket setup that a guy used in a thirdgen Camaro. Here's the website: www.hotrodlane.cc. It is a very confusing website (at least I found it that way...), but here is a link to their catalog (LSx bracket kits start on page 80).

Here's another companies offering (type "sidewinder" into the search and it will come up). Check out that price, it is $3600. Not only that but it's on back order...

Hope that helps...

Re: LS* Accessory Drives?

Wow. I didn't realize those serp belt systems were so expensive... Even the S&P one is $1500 for an unpolished basic. Yikes. That is however, the style that I want, low mount alt and low mount PS. Wish it came in just a cheap flat black version...

Wow...

Thanks for the help guys.

Re: LS* Accessory Drives?

This is the best system I found yet. Price is honest and the quality looks great!

Re: LS* Accessory Drives?

That one looks really nice for the cash. Although it still mounts the alt way up high on the passanger side and comes with all the accessories which drives the price up.

Re: LS* Accessory Drives?

From what I can figure out, the C5 system is not that far from the F-car system.
The power steering and the alternator seem to be swapped. The C5 power steering pump is compact... glad I don't have to buy one.
From online pics, the A/C compressors look about the same. There is a bracket that turns the A/C lines 90 deg. ("Hoseblock-vertical O-ring- #AA0336 at AC Source.com/800-439-6695) This info from one of the stickys at the top of this Forum.
That's what I can figure, so far. A C5 LS1 is decorating my garage, as I drool over the completed projects posted here.

Update: It is the same compressor, but a different part #. So far, I can not determine the difference is.
