Custom Accessories?

My main question here is that I was wondering if anyone here has incorporated the stock P/S pump and other accessories on an LS1 thirdgen? I've seen the thirdgen a/c compressor used, but nothing else. Alternator? Probably cant use the thirdgen without modification to the harness plugins, that isnt my concern. The power steering pump only needs to run off the serp. belt though, so is it possible to mount it to the LS1? Maybe a custom bracket?

I haven't compared them side-by-side. According to partsamerica.com, the LS1 unit is unique to f-bodies, but the 3rd gen unit is used on a bunch of applications, from trucks to FWD. For what that's worth.

Seems a lot easier just to use 4th gen f-body accessories.

Re: Custom Accessories?

LS1 parts are few and far between it seems in my area, so I figure instead of making custom lines and all this with the LS1 P/S pump, it would probably be just as easy to fabricate a bracket for the OE 3rd gen unit.

Re: Custom Accessories?

If you fabricated all your own bracketry it might work, but its alot of hassle.

I paid $300+Shipping for my f-body accessories.
