Did you guys use the lt1 sensor or the tpi sensor? My gauge reads maxed out after you start the car and stays there till you shut it off. If I have to use the tpi sensor do I just solder all the wires into 1?

I'm using the LT1 sender, no problems at all with the gauge.
Was the motor rebuilt and a high volume oil pump put in? If it has one, it will max the gauge out since they tend to put 100+ psi of oil pressure out.

Motor has not been rebuilt. I did learn last night that I have a blown head gasket or one of the iron heads is cracked. The oil looks like chocolate milk. I'm hoping I haven't ruined anything yet. Odd thing is it doesn't smoke at all. I'm guessing that with the thinned oil it's causing the pressure to jump. Guess it's time to put those aluminum heads on that I had planned for next year.

A cracked block is more likely than a cracked head or leaking head gasket. Check the lifter valley carefully.
Thin oil will lower oil pressure.
