350 LT1 Swap Please HELP!!!!

hello, I am trying to swap an LT1 350 Corvette Motor into my 1991 Camaro RS, the only problem is that I don't have an engine wiring harness,/ all I have is the motor does anyone know where I can get one cheap? or what cars can I get the harness from? also, what tranny do I use?/ radiator please help, all help is appreciated The motor may be a possible L89 but we think it's a 1992 350 LT1 Vette. If I go to carb'd how much hp will I loose/what intake/dist will I use thanks again for all the help.

First, did you read the LT1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum?

Going carb'd would be an exercise in expense and frustration compared to getting a harness.

I haven't looked lately, but I've seen a bunch of harness/PCM's on eBay in the past.

What do you mean by "The motor may be a possible L89"?

Re: 350 LT1 Swap Please HELP!!!!

well what I mean is that I haven't ran the #s to find the year of the motor but I'm pretty certain it's around 92 well if going carb'd is an exercise in expense, I'll keep it tpi then. it's just that this is my first swap and it seems really difficult as I don't have a huge budget/ experience (I'm swapping the LT1 into my 1991 RS V6 3.1) as far as looking for stickies and things my internet is kinda slow so if you guys could help and just copy and paste the links I would greatly appreciate it........ again thanks for all the help!

LT1 and TPI don't mix.

You need to know exactly what engine you're looking at installing. If it's from a '92 Vette, it's an LT1, not an L89, and it is sufficiently different from your '91 engine that it's referred to as a "Generation II" small block Chevy. Very few things are compatible between the two, and certainly not what you'd be interested in with regard to a swap.

If it is an LT1, read the LT1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum.
