After a month off, back at it Saturday
I had to suspend work on the LS1/T56 in Berlinetta #2 on April 1st in order to get the '57 ready for the season. I've been fiddling with one thing or another since getting the '57 rolling again, as a result haven't touched the Camaro since March 31st. As a result of that, I missed the first "stick shift" race at the track last Sunday.
Racing the '57, I runnered up in the first round last Friday night. Saturday racing was rained out. It wasn't all in vain, though, as I did make it to the semi-finals on Sunday in the "King Street" class (first year I've tried that class - kind of fun, have to dial 12.75 or quicker). Tonight's (Friday) racing was also rained out, but by the time I got home, the night was wasted.
No racing Saturday so the Camaro gets some attention again. First task is to get all the stuff that has accumulated on and around it cleared away. Then back to "the list" of remaining things to be done. I think PCM mounting in the passenger compartment is the next thing on the list.
Sunday is another King Street race. Monday it's to the airport, returning Friday afternoon, out immediately to the track when I get home for another Friday evening race, then the Saturday race series. Whew! Week from Sunday before I can get back to the poor Camaro again.
The next Stick Shift race is May 23rd. Not sure if there's any chance to get it going by then, especially with the travel this next week, but we'll give it a try.
