2 questions... VCM location and CAI

Where do you guys mount your ecus in the ls1 swap? and what cold air intake do you use? i am sure there is something that just so happens to fit.... or is there?

CAI from an '04 GTO fits ok.... not perfect, but ok

I mounted my PCM under the dash

Same here. im running an aftermarket intake off an 04 gto. My ECM is under the dash in the stock location. it goes through the firewall underneath the ac/heater box.

Not trying to be rude, but have you even read the LS1 swap sticky? The 2nd post contains this paragraph:

FWIW, for LT1's and LS1's, it's called a "PCM", "powertrain control module", because it controls the engine and transmission rather than just the engine.

I was pretty tired when I wrote this, and no i didnt read the sticky....and i know its not called ECU... FWIW, its called a VCM not PCM

I wrote vcm in the title and ecu in the thread, dunno why. just tired I guess.

If nothing else, here you'll hear it called "PCM".

Searching on "VCM" won't get you much.
