Camaro LT1 with Caprice wiring?

i've never messed with a caprice before, so does anyone know if it would work?

a friend of mine is going to put an LT1 from a '95 camaro into a '61 Impala. the camaro caught fire and the wiring is gone, but he has a '94 caprice that he could use the wiring from if it will work.

1. are the connections the same on the 2 engines?
2. are the 2 ECM's interchangable?
3. what other problems would we run into?

thanks,
Jimmy

Re: Camaro LT1 with Caprice wiring?

I would use the Camaro PCM. 94 should only be slightly different on the wiring on the automatic transmission. May have to add one wire. It depends on what transmission is going in.

Unfortunately, I don't know much about Caprice LT1's. Maybe ask your question at www.ltxtech.com
