What throttle cable do I need

There seems to be a lot of different opinions as to which throttle cable is needed to swap a LT1 into a 3rd gen. I am possibly buying a 3rd gen with a LT1 in it and the throttle cable is broken.

Which is the correct cable to use.I want one that is a dirct fit or with very little modifying. Any Suggestions . Thanks

Re: What throttle cable do I need

92 TPI Cable if you use thirdgen pedals, LT1 cable if you use 4th gen pedals.

If using 92 cable, modify either the cable plastic part where it clamps down to the LT1 throttle cable bracket or modify the LT1 throttle cable bracket. By modify I mean trim or cut.

If you use a LT1 cable with thirdgen pedals, your throttle body will only open 75%. Then your friends will ask you if you are joining the Three-Quarter-Throttle Racing Team like mine did. Don't want that.

Should be able to get a 92 TPI throttle cable from your local GM dealership.
