headers into true duals

Is it ok to use a 2.5" into 3" flexpipe (about 1 foot section coming off the headers) then run them straight back down the tunnel almost to the rear tires for true duals? here is what i am looking at.....

I want to run them through the crossmember hump and straight back...

I run true duals under the cross member humps and back, but I don't use flex section
