89 iroc ls1 swap vats?

89 iroc ls1 swap vats?
i am getting ready to fire up my swap and i searched but did not find a answer. i deleted the vats on ls1 pcm do i need to do anything with the vats from the car itself? i removed the tpi harness only, does my vats still function? thanks
