my LT1 for swap fell over..what damage should i look for

hi there, thanks to all whom responded to my questions. i had and accident today where the engine (LT1)fell over while moving it on the engine stand. so far the only damage was the accessories casting. my question is without any physical damage to the external of the engine is there possible damage to the internals of the engine. the top end (rockers and rods seem to still be intact) should it be OK. it wasn't a hard fall or anything....please help...i have not ever opened the engine because it was immaculate when i received it and had 50,000 miles to it. after fall oil leaked from dip stick and coolant from water pump..what else should i look for as far as damage

The damage would be external. You should be able to see anything that was damaged.

Re: my LT1 for swap fell over..what damage should i look for

ok thanks five7kid. i appreciate that..one more question....i am having a bad day, while torquing down the intake manifold bolts i broke one, i believe its the 4th bolt it the tighting sequence, do i have to tear that down again and whats to be done with it, could i leave it like it is or do i need a new head. they are cast iron heads and i had finished torqing all bolts then had to loosing one bolt to replace it and it broke..i am going to pull all of my hair out from where ever if i screw'd up bad

Anybody out there that hasn't had something like that happen to them hasn't done much of this stuff.

Most likely you'll have to pull the intake. You may be able to get the broken off piece out without removing the head, though.

are you sure your torquing them down to the right specs? in all my experiences over the years, most broken bolts while tightening are all due to your wrench being set wrong.
