lsx swap headers???

lsx swap headers???
hey, anybody have any info on hawks ls1 swap headers? im up to that point on my swap and i dont know which ones to get.. they sell a 1 5/8" primary with a 3" in collector or a 1 3/4" primary with a 2.5" collector, which to me is kinda backwards.. just wonderin what other guys went with.

It does seem a bit backwards.
Personally, I believe the primary tube size is more important than 2-1/2" or 3" collector. But, I haven't done back-to-back dyno tests, so I don't have any empirical data to back that up.
I do know that some of those "stock appearing" guys run high 10's/low 11's through 2-1/2" duals and cast iron manifolds with their big block Chevelles, Cutlass's, GTO's, etc., so, in my opinion, 3" is over-rated.

Yea I was thinking 2.5 wouldn't be terrible being as most ppl still go into a 3" pipe after a y. I was leanin more towards the 2 1/2's anyway so I think that's what I'm gonna do,
