Boost possible with LS1 w/ trick flow kit?
So I am still saving up for my LS1 swap, but since i'm going to taking the engine apart to make sure it doesnt have any problems (you can never really trust a wrecked pull out) i figure i should put some power in it while i have it apart. i was looking at the trickflow 515 hp kit.

i am sure the guy i have helping me build it can help me find a cheaper way to get the engine over 500 horses, but i was wondering if with a top end built engine it is still possible to go turbo.
or would a supercharger work better. i am not very knowledgeable about turbos and superchargers never having worked with them so any help would be much appreciated.

Theres loads of pump gas street friendly boosted LS1's ( turbo or SC ) running safely in the 500-550 rwhp range. Theres braver ones who have taken a stock bottom end car to over 750 rwhp but dont expect it to last very long if you get crazy.

If your planing to go with forced induction I wouldnt waste your money on any of the trick flow kits. I would rather build a good forged bottom end with low compression. Then maybe do a turbo cam or an ls6 cam also works good for boost with a wide LSA. Then while you have th heads off maybe do a quick port and polish. The heads arent going to be quite as critical on an F/I apllication as it would be on a N/A motor, the air is going to be forced in anyways. Just my opinion, good luck with it.
