can i use the hawks fuel pump and wiring kit(link below) for a third gen. with ls1 installed. does the fuel pump wiring have to go thru the pcm? i am currently running a ls1 with the stock third gen fuel tank and pump with a after market wiring harness that has it's own fuel pump wirng and relay.
i would like to upgrade the wiring going back to the tank.

Forget the kit, just get a pump

This is how 3rd gens do the relay and pump


Since you've already got a relay in place, simply find its output wire. For 3rd gens it is gray. Make sure it it atleast 16ga wire

In the wiring to your tank there should be 3 wires. Splice the relay output to the gray wire going to your tank. It should operate like stock now

The kit complains factory wiring is too small, yet plugs into an inline connector near the tank. The tank wiring is not changed so the 'terrible' wiring is still in place
