Trans Am engine swap

My dad is thinking about making an engine swap from a stock motor of an 85 Pontiac Trans Am to a 65 lt1. Now the problem is that he don't know how to wire it. If anyone could direct him through this process, i would appreciate it. You can e-mail me at JErgle42@gmail.com if needed.

EDIT:
Okay, I made a mistake above and the motor is a 96 from a 96 Roadmaster Buick.

Welcome aboard thirdgen.org.

"65 LT1"? Not sure what that would be. The "original" LT-1 came out in '70, was downgraded for '71-'72, but to the best of my knowledge, there was no LT-1 in the 60's.

Per chance did you mean '95 LT1? In that case, check out the LT1 swap sticky in the top section of this forum.

Re: Trans Am engine swap

Would that work; seeing as how it's a 96 and all? Or is there even a difference?

Yes, Fbody and B-body LTx swaps are the most common and easiest
