LSX Swap strut tower brace

Upon completing my LSX swap I plan on buying a strut tower brace. Will the one for the TPI cars fit? or do i get one for a TBI?

Here's what i'm looking at:

Thanks, Dan

Re: LSX Swap strut tower brace

The LS1 intake is lower than TPI and TBI

Grab whatever looks better

Keep in mind 3 point STBs have been known to crank windshields and rip the cowl metal under heavy cornering

Re: LSX Swap strut tower brace

The only cracked windshields from 3-pt STBs I've ever seen, were on 4th gens.

I like my UMI 2-pt STB (link to it in my sig).

Get you a TPI STB & if you want it sitting lower, you can trim the tops of the mounts off & drill lower holes for cross bar mounting. I know a guy that had to do that, because of the fiberglass hood he bought.

This only happens if you don't center it properly before drilling/bolting it in. I've had a 3 point on my 99 Firehawk for the past 10 years and I've never had a crack.

I have one of these in my '88, although you can probably find it cheaper somehwere else:
