where are you guys with LTX/LSX motor putting your computers? I saw a pic of one mounted to the firewall, but I want to keep HVAC, so that wouldn't work, mind posting a few pics?

Thanks for the help-

Eric

Re: computer

inside of the passenger side subframe rail, just in front of the headers. was honestly the only place i had room and i didn't want to have to extend all of those wires so i could put the pcm inside the car (but i have heard of many guys who put pcm's under their passenger seat or something.

i'm sure it seems like a terrible place, but for the 5 years i've had the swap running, i haven't had a single issue

edit: keep in mind though, i'm using corvette accessories, so if you're using f-body accessories you probably won't have the same amount of room right there

Re: computer

as Drvng mentioned, many people have extended their wires and mounted it under the dash where the factory one was. Since these computers are meant to be weatherproof, under the hood is definitely an option. Depending on what you've got for wire length, you could mount it where the coolant reservoir is (and run a 4th gen or aftermarket style bottle), relocate the battery to the driver side and mount it on the passenger side tray, or get creative and make a mount for it underneath the passenger side fender (toward the door, not the grille).

Re: computer

As long as its not directly laying on a header or coolant line, itll be happy no matter where you put it
