unfortunately, kinda took the summer off from the car to work part time and make some extra money for house/car projects. hope to make some progress again in the spring. so close now!

(until then, I'll just have to let the 2013 Caddy ATS I'm picking up tomorrow keep me occupied )

Sounds nice! I'm pretty much in the same boat... no time to work on my swap.

the price of those hedman headers are not as good of a deal as the stainless work, IMO.
a coated mid length over a stainless long tube? might as well run a factory manifold and save your money.

check the price on the headers through brp. then show me the huge gain per dollar with actual dyno results comparing a mid-tube to a long-tube on a street car. these aren't shorty headers. $500 extra worth of "long-tube" headers isn't worth the minimal gains. not too mention the coated mid-tube will keep your engine bay cooler.

Long overdue update, but unfortunately this project's been abandoned. The ATS is taking my attention and money, so I'll be parting everything out once it warms up a bit and all the ice is gone from the driveway.

meh park it and forget about it a while. A few years on you'll be glad to have a project such as this thats paid for and waiting for you. Funds are always nice I get that regarding the sale, but you brought this car a long way, it sure would be nice to see you drive it one day. Just a thought

Sounds like you need a little inspiration... "Push through my friend!"

But I know what you are saying and I know what you are going through. Looking at the money I've put into mine, and the amount of time it has taken me with so much other stuff going on, I've been thinking the same thing. But I keep spending money on it and it still sitting there. I told my wife the other night that I was going to sell everything and she just about gave me one of these...

Re: 1ADan's 5.3 swap (aka tax check's gone)

Thanks for the encouragement, but the time's come for this one. The car's been sitting pretty much untouched for more than a year or so, just kinda lost interest unfortunately. The mechanical stuff is all there, but there's a lot that needs to be done to the interior and body to get it looking nice. I'd rather some of these goodies went to good use elsewhere at this point.

Re: 1ADan's 5.3 swap (aka tax check's gone)

Dan, If I may make a suggestion, wait a bit, go to a couple car shows, then see if your interest doesn't come back, its easier to keep a project, then to sell and wish one didn't later on. That ATS isn't a Thirdgen man, ATS will come and go, Thirdgens are forever!
