lsx swap on a 3rd gen...heater hose set up

well I have the stock heater coil and the hoses that came on it...how does the 4th gen water pump verses the way you hook it up with the expansion valve....any ideas or solutions

Remove the hardline running the framerail, plug the 3/4" port on the radiator under the cap and route the lines directly from the core to the two fittings on the waterpump

so how does that work when you put the airconditioning on in the summer......or do I still hook up the expansion valve up!
thanks for the help..just trying to cover my bases before the motor comes

Most people cant tell the difference. When the AC is switched on, a flap door in the dash covers up the core so no hot air gets circulated into the ducting anyways. The valve was to promote core longevity more than restrict heat from entering the ductwork

Anyways, Justin (ghettocruiser) came up with a cool solution

With the valve, you must run the bypassed coolant to the port on the radiator. Running it direct without the valve needs this port plugged
