lt1 wiring
I have an lt1 computer, harness, and engine from a 94 roadmaster wagon, and was wondering how do i modify the harness to make the car run. I also have a 95 camaro z28 dash and one from a 94 v6 camaro if it is easier to use those then i will. If anyone could help that would be great. thanks

Re: lt1 wiring
when I did my swap I ended up mating my original '89 TPI harness to the new LT1 harness at the driver side firewall.. using the sticky as mentioned along with a few of the sites in the sticky you'll need to have a set of schematics for both your exisiting wiring and the new wiring. Make good splices by baring the end of the 2 wires and twisting them together so it looks like it's still 1 piece of wire (not twisted together like you were going to use a marett out of your house) .. use good heatshrink which has the heat activated glue in it and I even put a light wrap of 3m electrical tape on it afterwards. (if you buy 3m tape you'll thank yourself later... easier to use) .. make sure you solder and use rosin(sp) core solder not acid core! don't use those stupid butt splice connectors or you'll be hunting electrical gremlins forever after! lol
