LS2 Knock Sensors

I was wondering what LS2 guys using cable throttle bodies (LS1 computer) have done for knock sensors. I got the LS1 style ones and currently have them in unused motor mount bolt holes, but the passenger side is real close to the starter wires. I see that some have drilled out the LS2 knock sensor holes to fit the LS1 sensors in them, and still others have just deleted the knock sensors from the PCM altogether. I'm not sure if I'm comfortable deleting them, but I'm also not sure if putting the LS1 knock sensors in a different location than they were originally designed for is smart and/ or worth it. The LS2 starts and runs with the knock sensors where they are, but the passenger side one cannot stay where it's at. Any thoughts?

Re: LS2 Knock Sensors

Open up the LS2 knock holes to fit the LS1 sensors. Should be more out of the way

Re: LS2 Knock Sensors

yeah that seems to be the general consensus. I just didn't know if having LS1 knock sensors in a location other than stock would significantly throw off the reading.
