Re: exhaust price

30 bucks to put a test pipe in between my y-pipe and the catback that I got for free.

Headers and y-pipe cost me 300 bucks, no cat here.

Re: exhaust price

$50 Manifolds
$90 Mandrel bends 2.5" and 3"
$150 LM1 catback (had already)
$15 misc hangars
$30 grinding wheels, cutoff wheels and chop disks
$30 for the hoodie I set on fire

Exhaust shop charged me $280 for a crush bent 2.25" Y-pipe about 5 years ago. Thats just the Y-pipe, no cat, no hangars, no intermediate etc. Never again. DIY from then on

Re: exhaust price

My experience has been the best places are also the most reasonable on price. I got ripped on my first exhaust and paid somebody else $40 to fix it and wished I'd gone to the second ship to begin with. Buy the parts you think you'll need and call a shop to get it put together. Think $20-$60 /hour for their time and you'll be there most of the morning. A couple hundred dollars should get you where you need to be.

Re: exhaust price

I got my flanges from a guy on here for fairly cheap, and I got '02 SS manifolds for like 40 bucks on ls1tech, I got 2.5" mandrel bends (lots) for only 60 bucks on ebay, plus I bought a ypipe merge on ebay for like 40 bucks. I have one magnaflow 2.5" cat already and I need one more, they were about 60 bucks a piece or so. That gets me to where I need a catback, which I will probably buy online.
