GTO LS2 computer hacking
Hi there again. As some of you guys already know, my name is Robert and I live in Sweden. Trying to put an LS2 into my Iroc that I´ve had for 12 years now.
As everybody else doing these swaps I´ve met alot of challenges during the way....and now a new one has turned up...The computer
I´ve been trying to look for someone here in Sweden that I could send my 2006 GTO computer to and let them turn of the VATS, EVAP Skip ship etc, but they say that they need the computer to be in the car, hookedup to the cars electic system. Thats a HUGE problem for me, living all tha way up north in Sweden, I cant just put the car on a trailer and drive for 16 hours, one way, to get it done
The computer is not yet hooked up to anything in the car, but I dont se myself driving the car to anyone either because the car will NEVER start without a lot of hassle with the computer first.
How is this really. Isnt there someone that can work on the computer while it´s not in the car?
How much do you normally pay for something like that?

why cant you get a mail order tune there. if your not finished that is going to be your best bet. computers can be tuned on a table with the correct cables.

Expect $3-500 for a well known shop to tune the PCM
For what it's worth, Id buy a PCM from over here in the states, send it to a mail order tuning shop of your choice and have them ship it overseas to you. That limits it to one big ship cost and you get a spare PCM to tune later down the road

Try www.pcmforless.com shoot them an e-mail and see what they say. I,ve had very good luck there. Make sure you get the Mooresville, N.C. office. Hope this helps, Dean Thread Starter

Thanx alot guys for your inputs. I´ll check in to these companies then, I´ll check with Speartech also, I think I need his help with parts/cables for the drive by wire stuff that I need. I didnt get the TAC module with the JY crate. I cant find any on ebay etc either. I seems that the cables for the TAC module are also impossible to buy.
