LT1 swap Question
Hey guys I just bought a 1989 iroc-z the engine has a knock in it dont know what it could be but not sure i want to invest in the time to fix it so i have a lt1 engine, 4L60E trans, and computer out of a 94 caprice cop car and i figurd i would put that in it i keep reading on the site that i should get a new wire harness but do i get a new harness for the engine and trans or do i get a harness for the car it self

Where are you reading you should get a new harness? You can get a harness made, but all you need to do is graft the LT1 harness to the '89 chassis harness.

ok so you say i can just splice the lt1 harness to the camaro chassis harness.
1, i dont have a lt1 harness what would be my best choice in harness because i need to get one.
2, now that i am probly goin to splice the harnesses can i run the stock 700r4 trans or do i have to run thr 4L60E trans
