lsx 02 sensor questions

i just fired up my ls6 and it is running to rich i hooked up my scanner and noticed that my rear o2's were reading 450-460 my fronts were fine the air fuel ratio was jumping all around i know that it should read 14.7 on any car that is running fine but not sure if that is how it needs to read when you have the rear 02s deleted i would think that they would show 0 I have a painless harness and painless programed my ecm

Re: lsx 02 sensor questions

Deleted O2s still show a mid-range value and it moves slightly as well. Nothing to worry about

If the value is at an extreme (0-.9) or report similar to your fronts, then they havent been turned off

every thing else looks fine but it is still running to rich dont know why do you think that the tune is that much different from a ls1 to ls6 or do you have any other idea what else could cause it to run to rich thanks

Re: lsx 02 sensor questions

How are you measuring your afr? An actual wb, or one of those blinky guages? There is a big difference between the ls1 and ls6, so if you are truly running rich it could be attributed to the tune. How do you know your front o2s are fine? Voltage should be switching very rapidly from high to low.

Re: lsx 02 sensor questions

The narrow band O2s put out an accurate enough signal to distinguish rich/lean on a common scan tool

Re: lsx 02 sensor questions

i have a snap-on solus and my front os2 are working just like they should and the rear are reading 430-460 and afr reading is all over the place from 0.0 to 20.0 it sits in my garage and runs about two minutes and then i have to go outside because of how rich it is i think that it is the tune but not sure i have not messed arount with doing anything like this before i have only messed around with stock cars i am a diesel mechanic but anyway i have always had camaro's and loved the third gen so i bought another one and done the swap it has been a lot of work and a lot of money but it has been fun like i said i think it is in the tune but what do you think
